WHAT?
The BBMAA is an official group organized by—and consisting of—former Bucky Badger mascots who come together to support the current Bucky Badger student mascots, connect over our shared experiences, and celebrate the Bucky Badger mascot program.
WHY?
It is well past time for the greatest mascot in the country to receive the support he deserves. Bucky isn’t much of a talker, so it’s on us to advocate on his behalf. Together, we can help fulfill the needs of the current Bucky mascot team and alleviate some of the burden these hard-working students operate under.
Moreover, it is greatly important that we officially recognize the deep connection we all share with one another through Bucky Badger. There are not enough words in the English language to describe what it means to dive into the Bucky suit and represent the school we all hold dearly. In addition to supporting our student mascots, this organization can serve to bring us together for official events and let us indulge in our shared experiences.

WHERE?
Here, there, everywhere. Bucky Badger Alumni have taken root all across the country. This is certainly our strength, rather than our weakness.
The beauty of care and support is that it knows no geographic boundaries—it can be felt from wherever our Alumni may be. Everyone will always have a home here in Wisconsin. All are encouraged to participate in the organization regardless of distance.

WHEN?
There’s no time like the present. This year, Bucky will celebrate 75 years since Bill Sagal dawned the first Bucky costume. The following year, Bucky will turn 85 years old.
These are milestones that deserve to be celebrated accordingly and it is vital to organize the BBMAA as soon as we can so that we may arrange the festivities and leverage the community for fundraising.
