Event Overview

Eight past Bucky alumni, ranging from recent grads to alumni veterans, came together with a bold vision: to organize the best mascot alumni association for the best college mascot!

Since early 2024 the Bucky Badger Mascot Alumni Association (BBMAA) planning committee has been working hard to ideate on what the BBMAA stands for, plan how we can best serve our student and alumni mascot community, and organize social and fundraising events so we can execute on our bold vision.

We CANNOT wait to share what we have been working on.  

But an alumni association is nothing without its members—that's where YOU come in.

‍Our primary goal of the BBMAA is to engage our vibrant community of Bucky Badger mascot alumni. We are excited to provide you, your family, and friends of the Bucky Badger mascot program with exciting events to connect and opportunities to support the program.

We are excited to invite you to the first of these events: the BBMAA Launch Cocktail Reception which is the official launch of our alumni association! 

Event Details

Join us for a night full of fun with your fellow mascot alumni, family, and friends! The event will be catered with appetizers, an open bar, and plenty of kid friendly activities and games—yes, bring the family!

There may even be a surprise appearance from your favorite badger! 

In addition to having plenty of time for celebration and connection, we will provide a short introduction to the alumni association mission, what it means to be a member, and an overview of our future vision.

You can look also forward to information on upcoming events, announcements about our fundraising activities, and an introduction to the current student mascot team!

Schedule

• 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Welcome!
• 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Introduction to the Bucky Badger Mascot Alumni Association
• 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM: Cocktail Reception (Meet the Team, Games, and more!)

Heritage Hall - 1440 Monroe St, Madison, WI 53711

Catering with appetizers and an open bar will be provided. Please contact us with any dietary restrictions and check back here closer to the event for parking information.  

Registration

Please RSVP as soon as possible (even if you are a maybe!). This really helps us plan the best possible event for you!

Membership in the BBMAA is open to all individuals who have graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and have been a part of the Bucky Badger student mascot program for at least one year, or have been granted honorary alumni status.

This is a great time to be in Madison! Check out other events happening this weekend including the Greater Bucky Open events and the BBMAA hosted Wisconsin vs. Alabama football tailgate!
